LOWAIN Computing Power (optimized for HPCG)

Next page
The facts of the previous page suggest that the computing power about 125 GFlop/s would be sufficient for a processor that
-
is used exclusively for the HPCG benchmark or, more generally, for Krylov subspace methods,
-
has the memory bandwidth 1000 GB/s (that can be taken as the state-of-the-art), and
-
its memory bandwidth is used to about 50 % (as found in many recent supercomputers).
